Base Of Panse

Original villages of the Panse

The migration of the known Panse family starting from 1496 and taking many turns over time, the journey that started from Vijayanagar stopped at some places. Some of the Panse settled in those places while some moved on. This continued even till the Battle of Panipat. The congregations settled in those places did various business, jobs etc. for livelihood in those places. Panse of Vidarbhata means Nagpur belongs to Deshastha Yajurvedi branch, however their history need to be fully explored. But engineer Late Keshav Ranganath Panse, the historian of the Panse family, got his information and included it in the first edition of Panse family published in 1928. Accordingly, it is known that a large number of Panse congregations were or are living in one or two places in Vidarbha / Marathwada.

During the battle of Panipat, Sardar Panse was in charge of the artillery. Therefore, many members of the Panse family went on the campaign of Panipat along with Sadashivarabhu Peshwa and Vishwas Rao Peshwa. Some of them have settled in villages in Madhya Pradesh like Indore and Betul while going or coming.
