Panse Family Tree - Year 1496 till date

There are many families who do not know their family roots and  the ancestors  beyond  3 previous generations,  that is, their father, grandfather and perhaps the great grandfather.  They do not know how to trace out their family journey in the past.  Fortunately for our   Deshstha Bramhan Panse Family this is not the case.  Our first  family historian, the late Shri Rangnath Keshav Panse,  after his retirement from Government job painstakingly collated all various resources about the Panse family; which he had collected  during his transfers  to various locations.  Because of him,  today we can refer to the excellent family tree he collected and published in 1928.

As per  this family tree one could trace  the person  who started Panse family, who was  one  Mr Ekava.   He was the child who was brought  by the maid  from Vijayanagar because of the draught and handed over him  to a family in Solapur, in   the year 1496.  We all family members are indebted  and obliged  to this unknown maid  and family who brought up Mr Ekava.  Had this not been happened,  today we will not be  having  this website  and boasting  of the perseverance  of the family for last 500 years.

The male  Panse members  who were   born  between the decade of 1950 to 1960  can count their generation hierarchy and will find that they are  of the 23rd Panse generation!

However, unfortunately, in this male dominated world, there is no record of the female members of the Panse family.  That means there is no record of the women who married Panse males  and where instrumental in furthering the Panse family. Also there is no record of the Panse daughters who married in the other families and   enriched  the families  of their husbands.

Perhaps you are aware that the third Edition of our family history is under revision and  editors of the the third edition has taken cognizance of the above  fact.  They are   making efforts  to collect  names of the women who has married  as a daughter in laws  and our daughters who had married in the the other families.

When you register as a member of  Panse Mandal  on this website , You will see in the form displayed it requires names of of daughter-in-laws and daughters.

There are distinct advantages of recording and plotting your family tree. The following article will make your many of your concepts clear about family tree.

Original complicated family tree drawn by late Shri Keshav Ranganath Panse was   updated  in second edition published in 1978. The images of this family tree are made  available  as images in the following sections.

We  appeal to you to complete   the Registration form in details, so that  efforts to update  family tree will also continue in in near future.

To support this activity, we request you to become a Life Member by  remmitting one time life membership fee for all the members in your family.  This will help  your  Panse Mandal  financially  to conduct various activities for  our members.
